One of the most important reason is, our body needs sleep to repair itself. From 11pm to 2am in the morning is when our liver repairs itself. If your liver is not repaired up for the next few days it will result in dramatic issue day by day. For youngsters under 25 years of age their bodies are still healthy so it won't effect their health as much, for us older folks from 40 and above we will definitely feel the stress we have put onto our bodies just from one night rest. After understanding the importance of sleep come what we consume which leads me to the next rule.

A balance diet should consist of drinking enough water every day. Our human body consist of about 70%, so drinking water everyday is one of the most important. Approximately 1.5 liters a day would be adequate. We must consume a fair amount of carbohydrates. One of the most essential part of our growth is Protein. It is the main building block for our strong muscles. Protein is usually found in eggs, fish, meat. Oil is our bodies lubricant. People might think that I should keep away from oil, but it is why we don't end up like Tin-Man from The Wizard of Oz. Oil can be found in fish oil like in omega 3 and omega 6, and also vegetables oil.Lastly, Vitamins and Minerals are cordinater within our body. they coexist within our bodies to perform functions. for example, if you aren't getting enough vitamins and minerals directed toward your eyes, you won't be able to perform the function of sight. Vitamins and Minerals can be obtain from vegetables and fruits.
After we eat we need to start exercising so we maintain overall body health.

Personally I practice martial arts, TaiChi Chuan. Do you have to do what I do? No. You can always take a stroll in the park. always make sure to only do the right amount of exercise. For example, if you are only capable of running 1mile and that is your limit, simply jog 0.5 miles everyday instead. Over time you can slowly increase the miles you run. Performing the right type of exercise. For example, if you have a small body figure, do not perform something that is far out of your reach, like picking up more weights than you are capable of handling. As a result you might end up injuring and causing pain towards your body.
Moving along to one of the hardest to practice....
Golden Rule #4 : Stable Emotions
Keep a stable and calm mind. When a person is calm, our ability will be leveled up to tip top conditions. This ability can be related to our health as all of our body function can perform in a good condition.
